Did you know…
That sustainability policies and green construction practices are no longer a fad. They have an impact on the industry – both commercial and residential – on a daily basis. In 2005, green building comprised approximately 2% of the U.S. construction market, including both commercial and residential construction. That percentage translates to a $10.2 billion market size. Findings from McGraw-Hill Construction’s market research suggest continued growth for the green building market, with a projected increase of green building to increase to 5% to 10% of the market by 2010. A projected increase to this percentage translates to between $29 billion and $59 billion, not counting residential remodeling.
