Each spring in March our chapter initiates an AIA EXPO comprised of a seminar series and vendor booths. This event is held for the benefit of our membership with two basic goals:
To hold seminars of relevant & interesting topics for those all-important leaning credits; to introduce new products & services that we feel will be of interest to our members. Some manufacturers & service providers are well know to most of us, however this is an opportunity for them to introduce new products and updates on a one-on-one basis. In one evening one can accrue 1-4 CEU hour credits, visit over 50 vendor booths, have a free gourmet Chinese dinner and have a glass of wine & catch up with friends and colleagues!
The success of this event is based upon your interest in both the seminar topics & the vendors displaying their products & services. Your input will insure that the seminars are relevant & exciting. Tell us what you want to learn about. Have you seen an interesting new product? Are you working with a terrific consultant that we should all know about? It could be a landscape architect, a structural or mechanical engineer or a lighting consultant. Tell the vendor about our EXPO. Or email us with their information and we will provide them with all the appropriate information. This is a great opportunity for them to meet some of the over 3-400 architects who attend the EXPO.
Fax or email Valerie Brown with your suggestions & contacts and we will have our EXPO team contact them with detailed information. Your help with enable us to serve you with a better EXPO in 2007.
